Senior Advisers in the Sector for Performance Audit, Goran Čabarkapa and Dragojle Polić, held lectures on performance audit procedure to internal auditors in the Republic of Serbia, during two one-day workshops.
SAI representatives spoke on how this type of audit was conducted in practice, taking two completed performance audits as example: "Justification for Establishing Committees and Other Permanents and Temporary Working Bodies in the Public Sector“ and "Justification of Application of Accelerated Service Periods for Retirement for Certain Work Positions, and/or Activities". During the training, internal auditors in the public sectorhad the opportunity to get acquainted with all stages of performance audit implementation.
Lecturers from the State Audit Office of the Republic of Croatia also conveyed their experiences in this area.
Training was organized by the Sector for Internal Control and internal Audit within the Ministry of Finance, supported by the Twining Project "Support to Further Development of Public Internal Financial Control (PIFC)".
