Delegation of Young Civil Servants of SAI of Netherlands, Parliament and State Council Visited SAI of Serbia

Delegation of Young Civil Servants of Supreme Audit Institutions of Netherlands, Dutch Parliament and State Council visited Serbian State Audit Institution today, within study visit organized by Association of Dutch Young Civil Servants (YoHoCo).

During the visit, 18 young civil servants from Netherlands were exposed to work and methodology of the Serbian State Audit Institution, which were presented by the Secretary of the Institution, Ms. Mirjana Markovic, Supreme State Auditor from the Sector for Audit Methodology and Quality Control, Mr. Ivica Gavrilovic, and Supreme State Auditor from the Performance Auditing Sector, Ms. Svetlana Toma Anokic.

Secretary of the Institution, Ms. Mirjana Markovic, presented to young Dutch colleagues work of the Institution, its competences, organizational structure and legal framework, as well as the Serbian SAI's role in the EU accession process.

Supreme State Auditor from the Sector for Audit Methodology and Quality Control, Mr. Ivica Gavrilovic, informed the participants on the Institution's methodology and audit implementation process.

Supreme State Auditor from the Performance Auditing Sector, Ms. Svetlana Toma Anokic, presented the work of the Institution to young colleagues via reports and findings from three performance audits that the Institution conducted. She also highlighted importance of cooperation between the Serbian and Dutch SAIs, which greatly contributed to both, development of the Performance Auditing Sector and work of the entire Institution.

Through questions and answers, that followed shortly after the presentations, participants received additional information on the Serbian SAI's organization and role in the state administration system of the Republic of Serbia.

Delegation of civil servants from Netherlands expressed their gratitude to the State Audit Institution on the opportunity to learn more about our government system, work methodology and state audit process via this type of cooperation, and noted that they had spent very beneficial and interesting time in Serbia.
